Welcome to my new photo gallery. This is a serious re-write and connections will be broken at times. I use Adobe's GoLive to maintain this web site and the amount of time that GoLive 6.0 needs to process a web tree seems to vary with the (number of files)**3. When this site grew beyond 7K files, the processing time required by GoLive was exceptionally long. So far, the FreeBSD computer running the Apache web server has more than 300MB of files. A simple change is not simple if you could drive to your local Starbuck Coffee and order a "venti mild" like I do. I live in Southeastern Washington State where we still measure how far it is to someplace by how long it takes. The local Starbuck is 5 minutes away on a bad day. A Starbuck "venti" is 20 fl. ozs. of coffee. It usually takes longer to get your order than it takes to drive there. If you aren't used to it, a Starbuck venti will keep you wired for several hours.
The other advantage is that I will not have to include my terrible DNS name on the links and I can add a simple index.html to each of the old directories.
The camera of choice used to be a Canon Elan 7e but that was pushed down in the stack in early July 2004 when I bought a Canon Digital Rebel. The big difference in the Rebel is the fact that it came with Canon's cmos image chip, an 18-55mm ultra-wide angle lens, and I purchased 512 MB compact flash memory modules. There are other choices on memory but what I purchased were 2-512 MB CF's. The lenses for the 7e also work on the Rebel and so I can also use a 35-70mm and 75-300mm. The 18-55mm zoom will also work on the 7e.
